Latin / American Diet (2011) was a collaborative project with artist, Carolina Mayorga that played with stereotypes in Latin American and American culture. Mayorga and I played exaggerated versions of an American and Latin X female characters in a fictitious educational video aimed at grade-schoolers. Mayorga and I also presented educational materials and a food diary of what each of us ate for a week. The interactive installation was presented as part of the exhibition ‘BITE- Identity and Humor’ curated by Jefferson Pinder at the Greater Reston Arts Center in 2011.
